Highly Frustrated Magnetism 2010

Conference program

HFM 2010 will cover all aspects of magnetism and electronic correlations in systems with competing interactions such as

  • Quantum frustrated magnetism and spin liquids.
  • Magnetic order in geometrically frustrated magnets.
  • Itinerant frustrated systems and novel superconductivity.
  • Spin glasses and random magnets.
  • Coupling between lattice, orbital and charge degrees of freedom.
  • Exotic phenomena induced by macroscopic degeneracy.
  • Artificial and molecular frustrated magnets.

The conference will begin with a tutorial for students and postdocs on Sunday afternoon.  The rest of the week will have a mixture of plenary, invited, and contributed talks as well as poster presentations.

Plenary, invited, and tutorial speakers are listed on the Speakers page.

Conference participants should submit abstracts of their presentation through the submission page and indicate the prefererred format (oral or poster).  The final decision on the form of the presentation will be made by the program committee.

Talk lengths: 50 minutes for plenary, 30 minutes for invited, and 20 minutes for contributed ones.

There will be two afternoon poster sessions.
