Travel InformationOsaka Prefecture is located at center of Japan and the second smallest prefecture in Japan. However, it has a population of 8.8 million (7% of Japan), which is the second most populous prefecture after Tokyo. And it is also the second biggest city of economy. Osaka is a neighbor prefecture both of Kyoto and Nara, which is the first capital city of Japan. We have many amusement place, delicious foods and sightseeing spots.
Access to OsakaFrom Narita Airport or Tokyo Station, it is convenient to reach Osaka to take Shinkansen super express train.
It is about 2 hours 30 minutes from Tokyo station to Shin-Osaka station, which is nearest Shinkansen station from center of Osaka city and 10 minutes from Shin-Osaka station to Osaka station, which is city center of Osaka, by local train.
Access from Kansai international airport (KIX) to HFM siteWe have two international airports in Kansai area. Kansai international airport (KIX) is the main international airport. The other one is Osaka (Itami) international airport, which is located at center of Osaka city. First, take the limousine bus from Kansai international airport to Osaka (Itami) international airport. It takes 1700 yen.
Second, take the Monorail from"Osaka Kokusai Kuko" station to "Banpaku Kinen Koen" station. Transfer at "Banpaku Kinen Koen" station to "Handai Byoin Mae" station. It takes 420 yen from "Osaka Kokusai Kuko" station to "Handai Byoin Mae" station.It takes about 100min in total.

Conference site:The conference site "Icho Kaikan" is located at Suita campus of Osaka University.
Easiest way to access the Suita campus is to use Osaka mono rail. 15 min. walk from Handai Byoin Mae Station on the Osaka Monorail.

Access from HFM site to ICM2006 siteFirst, take the Monorail from "Handai Byoin Mae" to "Banpaku Kinen Koen" and change train there to get to "Minami Ibaraki". Second, take the Hankyu Kyoto Line from "Minami Ibaraki" to "Karasuma". When you take the local train at "Minami Ibaraki", you had better transfer to the rapid express train at the next stop "Ibarakishi" to save time (note that the rapid express train does not stop at "Minami Ibaraki"). Then, take the Kyoto City Subway from "Shijo" (just adjacent to Hankyu " Karasuma" station) to "Kokusai Kaikan" (the last stop). The Conference Hall is just in front of the station. The connection at "Minami Ibarki" and the one at "Karamuma"-"Shijo" are both walking distance (1-2 min).
It takes about 80 min in total.
